I’m a computer/human communication researcher at USP, and my research scope is on how we interact with video games, its structures, and how those structures work.

I started playing games at 3 years old, on Atari 2600, and haven’t stop since then. My favorite games at the time are Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest and Metroid Prime. You can find more about me here.

I´m an Architect and an amateur Spriter /Game designer. I´m addicted
to video games, mainly old games. During my free time, I work in my indie/retro game project Oniken with my friend Pedro Paiva. I expect to make a blog about the game soon, so you will have access to screenshots, beta versions e etc.

My favorite game system of all time is the NES and my favorite game series are Ninja Gaiden, Metroid, Castlevania Contra and Super Mario. This is my Facebook page.

Fernando Lira

I’m a graphical designer graduated at Brasília’s University. I play videogame since I was 5 years old, in the commodore 64. I like to keep every single console I ever had, having a Sega master System, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Xbox, PS3, nomad, Gameboy color and DSI. Yep, unfortunately I never had an Atari 2600, but played some of it’s games at his commodore.

Since after the Super Nintendo, I started to prefer playing PC games, buying consoles just for the exclusive games. He likes every game style, since old school, playing games like Tetris and commander keen even now a days to the most recent ones (actually, I prefer low-res 2D games compared to hi-res 2d games. But can’t stand low-res 3d games), to colorful games like jet set radio and Katamari Damacy and also more dark ones as Silent Hill and Demon’s Souls. The only game type that I don’t play very often is strategy games because I’m somewhat hyperactive and often I start clicking in everything without thinking to much.

I have a personal passion for indie games because generally they are made from people who loves games and do whatever they think is cool and not a bunch of guys who makes games only to win some cash.
